1. Controller and contact
The controller of personal data for Color Dash is SKYLARKPIXEL DANIEL SKOWRON, Ul. Teofila Aleksandra Lenartowicza 19-7, 43-300 Bielsko-Biala, Poland (NIP: 9372747734, REGON: 523523078).
Privacy requests may be submitted by email to support@color-dash.skylarkpixel.pl or by post to the controller address above. Please mark the request as "Color Dash privacy request" and include enough information to identify the app or website request.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Color Dash handles information when you use the Color Dash mobile game application and the public website at color-dash.skylarkpixel.pl.
3. Information you provide directly
Color Dash does not require account registration. The app may allow you to choose a nickname and avatar for local leaderboard features. This gameplay information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers by the current app flow.
4. Information processed automatically in the app
The app and the services it uses may process technical, advertising, and gameplay information needed to operate the game, display and measure advertisements, prevent abuse, and maintain app stability. This may include:
- device information and operating system version,
- advertising identifiers (Android Advertising ID / app set ID),
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP address,
- ad impressions, ad clicks, rewarded ad interactions and consent status,
- diagnostic events and SDK performance information,
- app interaction information used by advertising services.
5. Data stored locally on your device
The following gameplay data is stored on your device using local app storage (AsyncStorage):
- scores, high scores and the local top 10 leaderboard,
- nickname and selected avatar,
- sound and vibration preferences,
- total runs, total score, best combo, continued runs, play streak and last played date,
- ad consent status maintained by Google's User Messaging Platform.
This local gameplay data remains on your device until you clear the app data, reset the relevant settings, or uninstall the app.
6. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on the following legal bases under Article 6(1):
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for personalized advertising and any optional ad-related processing that requires consent in your region. Consent is collected through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are requested and can be changed at any time from the in-app "Ad privacy choices" entry point in Settings.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for non-personalized ads, basic measurement, fraud prevention, abuse detection, app stability, security and diagnostics. Our legitimate interest is to keep the app free, safe and stable.
- Performance of services (Art. 6(1)(b)) — for processing strictly needed to provide the gameplay you request.
- Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) — when we are required by law to process or retain certain information.
7. Advertising and Google AdMob
Color Dash uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, including banner ads and rewarded video ads. The current build does not display interstitial ads. Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect, use, and share data to serve, limit, and measure ads, depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and applicable law. The app requests non-personalized ad requests by default.
Where required, the app requests consent for ad-related processing through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before ads are requested, and provides an in-app "Ad privacy choices" entry point in Settings where Google requires it. Non-personalized ads may still be displayed where permitted by law.
Google's privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy and in the Google Mobile Ads SDK documentation at developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy. You can adjust personalized advertising settings through your device settings or Google's advertising settings.
8. Third-party services and SDKs
The app may use third-party services and SDKs required for operation, advertising, app distribution, and platform functionality. The current build relies on the following:
- Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob) — advertising,
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — consent collection,
- Google Play services — platform integration on Android,
- Expo and EAS services (Expo Application Services) — app build, runtime, and update delivery.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies and act as independent controllers or processors depending on the service and processing activity.
9. International data transfers
Some service providers (in particular Google LLC) are based in the United States and may process personal data outside of the European Economic Area. Where such transfers take place, they are covered by appropriate safeguards under Chapter V of the GDPR, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). You can request information about the safeguards used by contacting us at the email address above.
10. Website privacy and cookies
The website at color-dash.skylarkpixel.pl is a static public website. It does not set cookies, run analytics scripts, use tracking pixels, include social media embeds, or collect form data.
The hosting server may automatically store standard technical logs, such as IP address, request date and time, browser user agent, and requested URL. These logs are used for security, diagnostics, and correct operation of the website, and are retained only for a limited period needed for those purposes.
11. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with service providers where needed to operate the app, display and measure ads, distribute the app, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect the rights and safety of users and the developer.
12. Retention and deletion
Local gameplay data remains on your device until you clear app data, reset relevant settings, or uninstall the app. Technical data processed by third-party services is retained according to those providers' policies and your consent or account settings where applicable. Website server logs are kept only for a limited period needed for security, diagnostics, and correct operation.
Color Dash does not create user accounts. Because there is no app account, there is no account deletion flow. You can remove local gameplay data by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app. Requests concerning data processed by Google AdMob can also be submitted through Google's privacy tools.
13. Children's privacy
Color Dash is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age at which parental consent is required in their country (16 years in Poland under Article 8 GDPR, lower in some other EU Member States, 13 years in the United States under COPPA). We do not knowingly collect directly identifying personal information from children. The app is configured with the AdMob content rating set to "G" and with child-directed treatment disabled at SDK level; advertising and consent settings must be configured to respect applicable child privacy requirements.
14. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may also withdraw any consent you have given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, uodo.gov.pl).
Requests about data controlled directly by the developer may be sent to the controller using the contact methods above. Requests about data processed by Google or other third-party services may also need to be submitted through those providers' privacy tools.
15. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. The website is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or electronic storage is fully secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
16. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be available on this page with an updated date. Material changes that affect your rights will be highlighted in the app or on the website where appropriate.
